Furthermore, it conforms to body contours, providing comfort for the patient. Breathable film allows the skin to function normally with good exchange of moisture vapour and oxygen - ensuring the comfort while wearing the dressing.
This dressing provides moist wound environment to enhance healing and lessen pain.
Laboratory testing has proven 3M™ Tegaderm and Tegaderm HP Transparent Dressings provide a viral (HIV-1 and HBV) barrier while dressings remain intact without leakage.
Suggested Applications include:
- Post-surgical dressings, especially on areas where swelling or movement is expected.
- Superficial and partial thickness wounds,
- Lacerations, abrasions and burns and light - moderately draining wounds.
